{"id":401,"date":"2010-10-04T21:09:22","date_gmt":"2010-10-05T02:09:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikeraffety.com\/blog\/?p=401"},"modified":"2010-10-05T07:13:11","modified_gmt":"2010-10-05T12:13:11","slug":"extreme-toastmasters-facts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikeraffety.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/04\/extreme-toastmasters-facts\/","title":{"rendered":"Extreme Toastmasters facts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mikeraffety.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/wow.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-436\" title=\"Wow!\" src=\"http:\/\/mikeraffety.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/wow-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Wow!\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>How many CCs could a club earn in one year?\u00a0 Would you believe <strong>twenty<\/strong>?\u00a0 Yes, in 2009-10, <a href=\"http:\/\/reports.toastmasters.org\/findaclub\/zoomclub.cfm?ClubNumber=3949\" target=\"_blank\">3949-Twintech<\/a> in Malaysia filed 20 CC awards in 12 months.\u00a0  13 of them were filed on January 1, 2010, oddly &#8212; club special event?\u00a0 There were 15 other clubs that earned 10 or more CCs as well.\u00a0 On the flip side, 4,069 clubs (about one-third) earned no CC awards that year.<\/p>\n<p>One club filed <strong>twelve <\/strong>AC awards last year, <a href=\"http:\/\/reports.toastmasters.org\/findaclub\/zoomclub.cfm?ClubNumber=987486\" target=\"_blank\">987486-SKIT Club<\/a> in India.\u00a0 9 other clubs filed at least 8 or more, but 6,479 (about half) filed no AC awards at all.<\/p>\n<p>How about leadership awards?\u00a0 Two clubs filed <strong>28<\/strong> CL\/AL\/DTM awards each!\u00a0 They are <a href=\"http:\/\/reports.toastmasters.org\/findaclub\/zoomclub.cfm?ClubNumber=8734\" target=\"_blank\">8734-Humana Speaks Up<\/a> in Kentucky, and <a href=\"http:\/\/reports.toastmasters.org\/findaclub\/zoomclub.cfm?ClubNumber=2284\" target=\"_blank\">2284-St. Petersburg<\/a> in Florida.\u00a0 38 other clubs earned 10 or more leadership awards; 6,014 (about half) filed none.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/reports.toastmasters.org\/findaclub\/zoomclub.cfm?ClubNumber=8833\" target=\"_blank\">8833-NUS Toastmasters<\/a> in Singapore has 196 members as of early October!\u00a0 They ended last year with 120, having added 114 over the year, and they&#8217;ve signed up 86 more since July 1.\u00a0 Imagine what those club meetings must be like!\u00a0 That club also holds the record for adding the most members (114) in 2009-10.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/reports.toastmasters.org\/findaclub\/zoomclub.cfm?ClubNumber=357\" target=\"_blank\">357-Toastmasters Club Of Singapore<\/a> (founded in 1967) has 119 members now, another huge club.<\/p>\n<p>Globally, there&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/mikeraffety.com\/TopDCP.html\" target=\"_blank\">68 clubs<\/a> that have scored all ten Distinguished Club Program (DCP) goals for at least six consecutive years (older records are not available on-line).\u00a0 Truly an incredible accomplishment!<\/p>\n<p>The largest district in the current year is D79 (Middle East) with 317 active clubs as of early October (76 areas in 17 divisions!), followed by D14 (Georgia) at 289 clubs.\u00a0 D68 (mostly Louisiana) has just 53 clubs.<\/p>\n<p>Three districts have been distinguished for at least the last six years, D59 (continental Europe), D71 (Britain and Ireland), and D79 (Middle East).
